Local Government Charitable Trust Account
In 2006 we introduced our Local Government Charitable Trust Account Scheme, offering local governments the opportunity to establish a charitable trust account to benefit people living in their municipalities.
To encourage Victorian councils to streamline their giving, we offer a ‘matching’ initiative matching – dollar for dollar – the contributions made by each municipality, to a maximum of $100,000.
Seven councils and one Community Foundation have enrolled in the scheme by establishing community charitable trust accounts, these being Hume, Manningham, Kingston, Banyule, Mornington Peninsula, Frankston, Brimbank and Cardinia.

THE CARDINIA Foundation Annual Charity Ball, attended by over 300 local supporters, was a fabulous success raising over $80,000 on the night.

Impersonator Mark Andrew had everyone up dancing with his look alike, sound alike renditions of Elvis, Austin Powers, Elvis and Tom Jones.
Another exciting part of the evening was the surprise announcement that the Cardinia Foundation had opened a trust in partnership with the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation.
Cardinia Foundation established the trust with a contribution of $100,000 matched by the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation.

Cardinia Foundation spokes-person Michelle Tones said it was an exciting announcement, creating a legacy that will benefit the community of Cardinia for generations to come.
